Dear Campus Community,

UNC Greensboro, in consultation with regional, state and national agencies and experts, continues to closely monitor the progress and path of Hurricane Florence. We recognize that the path of the storm has shifted and predictions around impacts for the Triad are changing. We must remain vigilant as this situation evolves and continue, as always, to ensure the safety of our UNCG community.

The latest information shows a potentially reduced impact for our immediate area. That said, this remains a very dangerous storm and we urge people to continue to take it seriously. Please continue to monitor information from the National Weather Service in Raleigh for the latest.

Many school systems, public institutions and other facilities have also made decisions to close or reduce operations. As a result, many students, faculty and staff have made various plans based on the available information. This storm remains unpredictable, especially until it makes landfall. We will continue with our current plans as stated here.

It is our hope that the impact on UNCG and our region is less than anticipated.  We will continue to make decisions to best protect our community, students andemployees. We will continue to provide updates throughout this event.

Thank you.
