Holiday Building Security

Posted on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 by University Police under Archived, Police - General Information.
During holidays when the University is closed, it is not uncommon for thefts to occur in the academic and administrative offices.  In order to combat these thefts, the UNCG Police Department will conduct aggressive patrols in these buildings from now until the Spring Semester begins.  These patrols have been very effective over the last few years in detecting and deterring criminal activity. Faculty and staff who are in buildings after hours or when the University is closed should have University identification available for officers to inspect should they request it.  You are also asked to contact the UNCG Police if you notice any suspicious activity while in the buildings.  Offices with graduate students who may be in the buildings during the break are requested to communicate this information to those students. Thank you for helping us make UNCG a safe place.  We hope you have a wonderful holiday break.
